Located on the Ethereum blockchain as an NFT, each CryptoPunk is a 24×24 pixel image that depicts various characters such as people, zombies, apes, or aliens.

CryptoPunks, launched in 2017, is one of the first NFTs to show ownership of original digital content on the blockchain. In 2021, Sotheby’s sold CryptoPunk #7523 for $11.8 million. This CryptoPunk was an Alien type, noted for its blue-green skin tone.
