Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
My favorite columns of 2023 start with this early one featuring that magnificent photo by Zakk Bifrandt. He kindly explained here how he shot this picture. His account has since been deleted, so this is what remains of his fabulous work.

Peuxswau’s homage to Audrey Hepburn is newer, created after my column featuring her several beautiful homages to other artists. I love how she uses SL to recreate and reimagine work from the past. I had so much fun seeing her work and following her work since then.
I enjoyed this series by Chiara Kaine and it was a fun column to write. I would love to see the further adventures of the Saddest, Loneliest Little Robot.
I didn’t find this pic when I wrote my column highlighting the buskers of Second Life but it sure would fit the theme of that post. I enjoyed my columns focusing on a theme like buskers, rats, birds or more esoteric themes like Poe or shooting underwater. It’s just much fun to see SL residents getting carried away with an idea.
More recently, I focused on the people inspired by the movie Napoleon. Again, it’s fun to see how people take the same person and story and find so many different ways to portray them. This is a newer picture and quite fun.

Cajsa Lilliehook is a sixteen year resident of Second Life, where she owned a photo studio, spent several years as a DJ at The Velvet, and for her first SL job, cleaned up prim trash. She co-founded and runs the It’s Only Fashion blog with her best friend Gidge Uriza. She also has a book review blog, Tonstant Weader Reviews and a cooking blog, Single Serving Recipes. She spends a lot of time researching and reporting on Republican sexual predators. In her first life, she is a retired grassroots leader who has worked for economic and social justice issues most of her life. She is also the minion of a cat named Nora.
