Sparq Mint Out ‘Break Free’ NFTs, Announce Crown U Game

Web3 game publishers and acquisition platform Sparq have seen their debut NFT collection – Break Free NFTs – mint out, giving this innovative project a boost ahead of the upcoming airdrop campaign for their $SPARQ token.

A total of 2,140 free-to-mint NFT collectibles were all claimed within the first-come-first-served mint phase, with 1,337 of those NFTs claimed via the guaranteed mint phase – all the more impressive given the volatile conditions across the broader blockchain market.

Holders of Break Free NFTs will receive an allocation of the native $SPARQ token, set to launch later in 2025, alongside exclusive benefits such as access to once-in-a-lifetime sports experiences, prioritised access to future initiatives, and NFT avatar integration.

What is Crown U?

Earlier this week, Sparq announced that their upcoming flagship blockchain game, Crown U, has entered pre-production.

Crown U is a Web3 sports-based battle royale game, which will be available on mobile. The game will feature a plethora of real college athletes, schools and stadiums battling it out in cross-sport competitions. The game will offer an opt-in blockchain-based rewards program, allowing cryptocurrency and digital asset fans to earn Web3 rewards via the Sparq Locker Room.

Sparq benefits from a leading publishing and acquisition team, who have over 140 years of combined experience. Their personnel have previously led efforts for major IPs such as Lord of the Rings, Marvel Comics and Game of Thrones.
